Clay Pigeon Shooting Guns

Clay pigeon shooters use a shot gun. The type of shotgun used is often a matter of taste.
All types of shotguns are suitable for clay pigeon shooting, however the ability to fire multiple shots in quick succession is generally considered important. Here are the different options available to you

Over And Under
As its name indicates this gun has two barrels one on top of the other.

Semi-auto
This is a single barrelled gun that chambers a new round from a magazine automatically after each shot, but which requires the shooter to press the trigger for each shot.

Side-by-side
As with the over and under, there are two barrels, but instead of being on top of each other they are next to each other on a horizontally . Side-by-sides are harder to aim for new shooters.

Pump-action
This is a single barrelled gun that reloads from a magazine when the user slides a grip towards and then away from themselves.

Single-shot
Almost all single shot shotguns are break action; they have only one barrel and hold only one shot.
